Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is perfect for clients that have successfully completed detox and residential treatment and are in the early stages of their recovery. It is ideal for clients who are returning to work, school or other responsibilities and who reside locally in a stable environment such as a sober living, or at home with supportive loved ones.

In the Hawaiian culture, OHANA means family. This concept emphasizes that as humans we are bound together throughout our lives, and that each member of the family must contribute to the whole.

AKUA’s OHANA program is built on that model, in the spirit and culture of family, providing clinical treatment methods to help make positive changes in your life. We feature individual counseling sessions, classes and group sessions led by our experiences team of licensed professionals at our facilities in Newport Beach, California.

Our clinical team will tailor specific treatment plans for our clients and provide a strong foundation for a successful recovery with interactive group sessions that foster self-esteem and provide ways of healing and recovering from addiction. In addition to individual therapy sessions and process groups, we offer specialized psycho-educational groups that address relapse prevention, communication, steps to forgiveness, grief and anger management, resume building, and life skills workshops that facilitate growth.

“Receiving services from staff who are happy, supported, and loving their work is an intangible element that can’t be advertised or marketed but makes all the difference to our clients.” – Jennifer Newman, Program Director of OHANA Outpatient Program
